11 weeks pregnant - faint positive test. Worried!
At 11 weeks I felt like my symptoms had disappeared. My only symptoms to begin with were sore boobs and hunger with the occasional pulling feeling in my uterus.
I decided to do a pregnancy test that evening and it was only half as dark as the control line. The last test I did around 6 weeks was darker than the control line!
I thought I'd try again first thing in the morning but then it came out very faint positive.
That had me worried so I called the midwife hoping she would reassure me but she said she could see why I was worried and would book me in for an early scan if I wanted it.
I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and have since felt some pulling in my uterus on and off so feel a bit better. Wish I never tested now!
Has anyone else experienced this and then the scan has been fine? I'm scared there won't be a heartbeat but maybe it's because I've read so many horror stories on here.
I'm due for my scan on the 27th so I guess I'll have to try not to worry too much until then.

With my kast son the dr said too much hormone cause lighter test. So mix 20%pee 80% water.
I've heard that happens later on. Agree with PP. Try diluting it.
I bet you it's because your levels are so so high that the test can't read it, I agree with PP try diluting your urine :)
I'm 10 weeks and took one mid day and it was darker, I'd try later in the day testing
I know at some point in your pregnancy you'll actually test negative on a HCG test, mainly because the placenta has taken over and your body isn't circulating the hormone anymore.
Stop pissing on tests. I know it's tempting but it tells you nothing. I did the same thing and completely lost it because that line was so faint you could barely see it.
After 8 weeks your hormone levels are super high and can cause test lines to be lighter. Diluting your pee can actually help the line darken.
Are you still testing because you are afraid of miscarriage? I use to be and tested a lot. But, then I learned that you can have a missed miscarriage and still have pregnancy symptoms and it can take weeks (depending how far along you are) for the hcg levels to drop to zero. Hence, still getting a positive test.
I agree with the other ladies, I would stop testing. It will just cause unnecessary stress. Hope this helps!
A faint line is still a line. Mine was never dark, and symptoms should be tapering off anyway.
It's called the hook effect. You can look it up
@Dlp2017,
Is this a faint positive ? I got this result yesterday but tested again today and negative? af due tomorrow (25 day cycle )
